About Us
MyRaceNumber was built around a simple idea: a racer’s number means something. It’s not just a number on a bike — it’s part of who you are.
Since 2005, MRN has helped riders turn their name and number into something they can wear, represent, and take pride in — on the track, in the pits, and beyond.

Why We Started
Every racer remembers their number.
It’s not random. It’s earned. It follows you from your first gate drop through every class, every track, every season. Long after bikes change, your number stays the same.
In 2005, between motos at a race, I slapped my front number plate decal onto the rear window of my old red truck. It wasn’t meant to be anything more than that — just my number, riding home with me.
But standing back, it hit me: that number didn’t belong only on a bike. It was part of who I was as a racer.
We believed riders should be able to put their name and number on gear that felt personal — not generic — without needing a design background or a custom shop.
That single moment turned into something bigger. And it’s why MRN exists today.
Recognized by the Sport
When MyRaceNumber started showing up on riders across the country, the motocross world noticed.
Our work appeared in national publications like Dirt Rider and TransWorld MX—featured in editorial shoots, product coverage, and worn by riders who helped define the sport.
These weren’t ads. They were moments where MRN gear showed up because it belonged there.
Featured in Dirt Rider Magazine
MyRaceNumber didn’t grow through ads or hype — it earned its place by showing up where motocross history was being made.
In the early years, MRN gear began appearing in national motocross publications, including Dirt Rider magazine. One of the most defining moments came when a MyRaceNumber–lettered jersey was worn by Ricky Johnson during a featured photoshoot.
Ricky Johnson isn’t just another racer — he’s a seven-time AMA National Champion and a Motocross Hall of Fame legend. Seeing MRN on a rider of that caliber wasn’t planned or paid for. It happened because the product belonged there.
Those magazine features marked a turning point. What started as a grassroots idea from the pits was now being recognized at the highest levels of the sport — worn by champions, photographed by editors, and printed in publications riders trusted.
For us, those moments weren’t about publicity. They were proof that MyRaceNumber had become part of motocross culture.

Built Before Customization Was Normal
In 2005, customizing your gear online wasn’t common — it was almost unheard of.
Long before drag-and-drop designers, live previews, or social media inspiration, MyRaceNumber was already helping racers personalize their gear with their name and number. What started as a simple idea quickly became something much bigger: a way for riders to represent who they were, not just what they rode.
Racers mailed us their jerseys to be professionally lettered. Gold foil numbers, leather butt patches, and custom layouts were created by hand and shipped back out — not just across the U.S., but around the world. MRN gear found its way to Australia, Europe, and beyond at a time when most customization still happened locally, if at all.
We didn’t follow trends. We built what racers needed before the industry caught up.
That early commitment to quality, personalization, and identity is still the foundation of MyRaceNumber today.
